All 5 characters in this drama receive teachings from different teachers. They are their mentors and in the end give back 'love' and 'thank you'. We will see that by the end, they achieve their dream and give the best gift to their teacher. But for now, it is the teacher giving to the student, not only in academics but mentally as well.

Father & Son
Examples from sample:
Friend & Friend. There are many examples of this in this video. The most evident one is when Hyun Jeong Na decides that she would like to try it for the last time. Pulip Kim also chooses to do the same thing. As the other 4 also follow. Each friend does whatever the other will do to be fair, and to show that they care.
Father & Son. We see an indirect relationship in this clip. However, the parents of Bong Goo Oh save the objects from the kiddy days of Bong Goo. The families trust in their sons/daughters to find what they truly would like to do and give all their support. It is not directly shown in this clip, however the families of these students give so much during this time and the students do repay by studying well.
Comparison between identified sample and Confucian ideals for relationships
Similarities:
Confucius said, "I do not enlighten those who are not eager to learn, nor arouse those who are not anxious to give an explanation themselves. If I have presented one corner of the square and they cannot come back to me with the other three, I should not go over the points again." (7:8)" In the God of Study, Baekhyun Hwang is told that if he would like to leave the house he is free to do so. However by leaving, he is refusing to learn. It is also the same case for Bong Goo Oh, he is given the choice to stay and to think about what he would like to do. He is being released back into society if he fails to realize why he is studying.
Tzu-lu asked, "Should one immediately practice what one has heard? Confucius said, "There are father and elder brother (to be consulted). Why immediately practice what one has heard?" Jan Yu (the disciple) asked, "Should one immediately practice what one has heard?" Confucius said, "One should immediately practice what one has heard." Kung-hsi Hua (another disciple, also called Tzu-hua) said, "When Yu (Tzu-lu) asked you, 'Should one immediately practice what one has heard?' you said, 'There are father and elder brother.' When Ch'iu (Jan Yu) asked you, 'Should you immediately practice what one has heard? you said, 'One should immediately practice what one has heard.' I am perplexed, and venture to ask you for an explanation." Confucius said, "Ch'iu is retiring; therefore I urged him forward. Yu has more than one man's energy; therefore I kept him back." (11:21)
In the God of Study, this camp or this new experience is for each student to fix their weakest spots. They are all given different approaches and are given a completely different schedule according to their needs.
Confucius was gentle yet firm, dignified but not harsh, respectful yet well at ease. (7:37, translation from Sources of Chinese Tradition)
The main teacher in this drama, is usually firm and harsh at most times. However, he has respect for the students and have a reason in mind. He is gentle to those who need the gentleness. And he is dignified, though harsh he has a reason to be.
Differences:
Confucius said, "I do not enlighten those who are not eager to learn, nor arouse those who are not anxious to give an explanation themselves. If I have presented one corner of the square and they cannot come back to me with the other three, I should not go over the points again." (7:8) We can also see this as a difference, even when the students want to give up and feel that they could not finish the work. The teachers encourage them to continue and give them even more work.
